At least I think it was Amidy that wanted to know.
I got my cable a good while ago but I was to lazy to hook it up. Finaly got around to it and everything was perfect. Windows detects the wide screen for you and you have the correct resolutions to choose from.
To bad most games didn't work that way though. Only Half-Life 2 was able to go into wide screen mode. I must say it looked really good though in 1920x1080 on a 53" TV.

I didn't really notice a performance hit since I play most games on my regular monitor at 1280x1024 and I'm running a GeForce 6800GT OC with 256 megs of memory plus 1 gig of DDR400 system memory. The AMD 64bit 3200+ athlon and nForce 3 board dont hurt much either. Smooth as silk the whole time.
As for my name I put in the request almost 2 months ago to merge with my old account, but I dont think anyone is behind the wheel anymore.

I got this one because I looked at them in the store and this one had an amazing picture.
Click me
When I hooked it up to the computer, it even tells me that its connected to a panasonic wide screen display under the advanced options.
Only real bummer was I had to shell out $40 USD for the cable.
