Back in December I read this Motherboard article about an open-source machine learning algorithm being used to overlay public figures' faces onto porn actresses in videos. It was still rough around the edges, but anyone with a GPU and a little deep learning knowhow can put something together in a day. Photoshopping famous people into porn videos is nothing new, but this makes it user-friendly (so long as you have an ample supply of source material to train the algorithm on). There are fake porn clips of ScarJo, T Swift, Gal Gadot, Natalie Portman, and I've even seen Mercy from Overwatch on a cosplay porn clip, which is creepy and weird. Links may be NSFW.
It only took until last week before someone made an even more user-friendly app to streamline the process, and now there's even more fake-fap material out there. Not to mention political figures being fucked about with, like the video below of Hitler's face on Argentina’s president Mauricio Macri. I've even seen one of Drumpf's face on Merkel's body (with her voice), which is hilarious. Imagine this tech combined with Adobe's new VoCo tool, which turns text into speech that sounds like whatever voice they want it to using similar machine learning algorithm wizardry. Fake news indeed.

Considering how much social media people use these days and the ample supply of photos and videos that have been uploaded to Facebook and Instagram, the natural progression of this new tech was to make porn videos of classmates and coworkers. This could be used to make fake child porn, too. I don't know how this all plays out, but I imagine chaos.
