I will miss the stories of 'how the other half live'

Short and true story here and you might recall I was a Prison Officer some years ago so I relate just a moment in time for you.

One dark lonely, cold and quiet night my fellow and more senior Prison Officer partner was passing on some of his wisdom's he had gathered over his many years to me, a young screw at the time.

He said to me and it has stuck in my head for near 30 years, "There but for the grace of God go I"

Consider this: Any day, you could end up in custody, behind bars. A momentary lapse of judgement or simply an unlucky or unfortunate set of circumstance could well have you fall foul of the law

I could tell you the story of the Prison Officer in the back of the Police transport vehicle arriving at the gates of the jail one night where I was the officer on duty. Taking a Samurai sword to Police will do that too easily....

It saddens me that lars isn't here to deliver the last edition to us.

Pretty telling when the RIP NoTW thread has 3 times the views as the "last" NoTW thread.

I'm sorry to see it go and I want to thank Whiskey for putting it up while I was gone. I will be around. no Scared I didn't die, maybe in the future, you can always hope
