A new indie game built off the Q3 engine

It's called Bustacap. It's a toon shooter built off the Q3 engine. It takes place during the second American Civil War. It's meant to be humorous, not serious, although there are many realistic aspects about it like real bullet behavior. I've been working on this game full time for four years. I've cut hours at work just to be able to work on this as much as I have, effectively killing my budget. I'm tired and I'm broke now so it's time for me to put it out and move on. I don't know how well the public will receive it. It's sad to think I worked hard in a direction that could go nowhere but that's life. I posted it on kickstarter to get some beta testing going. I don't know if kickstarter was the right place for this type of game. The main problem is how few people are even been hearing about it so I'll probably just end up putting it on Steam Greenlight in a couple months.
It's playable. It doesn't crash... for me anyway. Most of the features are done. It plays well, better than Counterstrike or TF2 did. The maps need finishing. Whether or not I finish this project is dependent purely upon if there are enough people interested in it. Also if anybody from the Q3 community wanted to jump in and do some stuff be it in mapping, models, programming, etc that would be cool too. Feedback is welcome. Check it out:

Well, I threw in some money, you've put some time into this.

I appreciate it. After considering the little traffic it gets and its rate of funding, I don't think it'll make the goal in time. Funny thing is that I planned on using some of the money to pay some people I've met in these forums to do some work. The money would be coming right back to the quake3world community.

You might want to post this in LEM as well. Different group of people there and might get a bit more interest.

Too many captains and not enough ships. That's probably why they promoted me to rear admiral.

losCHUNK will be in charge of swabbing the poop deck.
obsidian is climbing the main mast which he also painted black.
Puff is promoted to oberstleutnant as an anti-piracy measure.
Time to make this boat float great again.

Sorry Captaintoottoot. We appreciate you making this game and all but we ask people to recognize democracy here at quake3world and we had a vote and I'm the leader of the bustacap clan now.
Don't worry, I really like what you've done so I'm making you sargent at arms. As well I'll allow you input on all the big decisions. PM me your email addy so we can discuss things further and be ready for ownage when shit kicks off.

I just posted Bustacap on Steam at:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =888794439
If you have any love for the project it should go there now. I'm just figuring out how greenlight works and I'm looking to just release it now as a beta or whatever term you'd use for possibly dysfunctional unfinished game. If anyone knows anything about Steam and how to upload a game there for people to play that would be info I could use right now.
