I thought same and of the thinking he's an evolving actor: I mean getting better with age.

vampires - nineties, sexy, exciting, you can become one at the cost of your soul but only if they agree to it - metaphor for the corporate world

zombies - last 10 years, dumb, monomaniacal, want you to become one of them whether you like it or not - metaphor for culturally conservative suburbanites (mummies are an offshoot of these)

next up: aliens - cunning, bent on domination, you can't become one but you can host one - metaphor for immigrants
