They don't understand how the internet works and that it's a part of real life. It's still some magical fantasy land to some people.

The article states specifically it doesn't store which pages are visited, only the domain of the website. Doesn't that mean your Google search queries aren't logged other than just Google.com?

Thank buggery we have the EU courts to squash data retention and access laws... ohhh ffs
They fucked off RIPA, DRIPA and it looks like this one has a good chance of getting crushed n all as it doesn't define the severity of the crime ? (It's open to the DWP FFS). If it's just defined the length of time that data should be retained for then that's acceptable, no ?. I know most companies / banks n shit are required to keep records for X amount of years ?.

Tried it out but there was a trouble with the connection so I switched it off. I like the Opera browser though.

Hey, don't click the Reddit Ruin Search History link while you're NOT in Pivate Mode (or better using Tor) and especially don't do that while logged on

Also, if you want to fuck your comp up, visit goggle.com instead

Google searches are https now so they couldn't see anything anyway, unless the Government started using man-in-the-middle attacks and injected their own https certificate so they could read what was being transmitted.
If you're really paranoid you could just use something like
private internet access. You can even set-up routers to direct your entire internet traffic through it so all the Government would see if a tonne of data going to PIA but have no idea what it is. I'm assuming the majority of terrorists/people who really have something to hide are probably using similar techniques, which renders the point of this charter, pointless.
