especially since ive lately noticed all the iphone pics have been triple compressed there

Just curious, and shaft too, what would have made you think this was a good update? I'm not an iPhone fanboi, but honestly, the phone has made some decent improvements. What's so meh?

I'm not a camera nerd, the new black finish will get covered by a case and while waterproofing is nice it won't change how I handle the phone 99% of the time. The speed increase is nothing special as I don't play games on my phone and the 6 plus that I have isn't exactly slow.

It's fine I guess. Just nothing to be excited about like the previous gens with the new size or fingerprint scan.

I'm just going to comment on the iPhone 7 Plus because I don't care about the smaller model.

1920x1080 for a 5.5" screen is weak. 2560x1440 on 5.7" is almost perfect, but I'd still prefer a slightly higher pixel density for real-world use.

It would also be nice if they switched to OLED and bezel-less screen like on the Note 7 or Galaxy S7 Edge.

iOS is way better than Android and the iPhone 7 Plus is a lot faster too, you notice it in day-to-day use not only in games. There's noticeable lag while opening apps and scrolling is a bit choppy on the Note 7, even when you speed up the UI and force 2D GPU acceleration.

Basically if I expected the iPhone 7 Plus to have a better screen and come with a stulys, I would've waited for it instead of buying the Note 7. I could still exchange it now because of the recall, but I'll pass.

I never liked apple. I should clarify, I like the way they look. They certainly know how to design sleek looking tech but the proprietary nature of the company just turns me off.

The worst part is that a company COULD be very stringent on their IP by not trying to fleece their customers so much but instead they do exactly the thing you wouldn't want a company to do at every step.
