Try JK then if you want SW themed maps in the Q3 engine...

You wont get any because Q3A is a very basic detail game, and TBH you could make any map a "Star Wars theme" map as long as it was a little like something from star wars.

UT2k4 is a great engine ot make these kind of "themed" maps in because you can add so much more little detail to a level and make it stand out as a theme. For example, Endor could be full of shrubs, trees, grass and concrete bases, but you cant do that in Q3 very well. You could make the detah star inside in Q3, but it would be very detail-less and end up looking like it did in JK2...

So in short, you can probably get maps that "resemble" "something" from star wars, but dont expect a lot of detail or anything. Its the wrong game.

despite answering your question from a typically narrow and largely irrelevant angle, odium's right.

the jedi knight games are the best place to start looking, you might find maps that someone's ported to q3a on a jk site.

for big maps, only one i can think of is kineterra. maybe look for stuff by jax_gator, think he might've done a few big maps.

for great stuff, look for maps by charon, sock, lunaran,.. sod it. just ask in lem, there's a long list :)

ok, kewl.
I have played all the jedi games, this was mostly because my kidbrother wanted some theme based SW maps to play on in quake.

As an aside, JK is one of the worst games I've ever played.

One guy was working on a nice map of tatooine for a JK game, he was going to port it over to Q3A but i don't know if he ever went through with it or not. Nice looking map, though, we did see screenies. Can't remember the author's name.
