This morning I woke up to instant messages from some friends talking about a shooting that had just happened on a street I used to live on several years ago in Manchester, NH, not too far from our old high school. As the story developed, it turns out the shooter was someone we went to high school with. So I dusted off my old year book and looked up his picture to see if it's the same guy from the mugshot, and yep, that's him. In the section next to the picture where people get to write a little blurb to their classmates, he had just written "SORRY." Fucked up shit.

He used to hang out with the goth rejects, and I remember him smelling like cigarettes most of the time. I also remember being in a class with him and being forced to partner with him for an assignment, and then doing all the work myself. He made a half-hearted attempt to contribute at first, but got overwhelmed by his own stupidity before giving up and just letting me do it all. I had pretty much forgotten he existed before this morning, it's funny how quickly a memory from 15 years ago can come back to you...

A man in a trench coat has been arrested in New Hampshire after two cops were shot overnight in the city of Manchester. The incident happened in the early hours of the May 13 at around 2:30 a.m. At around 10 a.m. and after an extensive search and shelter-in-place in Manchester, authorities announced that Ian McPherson, 32, had been taken into custody and accused of the shootings.

McPherson is facing two charges of attempted capital murder in the case and could face life in prison.

from that pic you can tell he looks like a killer, back when i went to high school it was just fist fight with the Vietnamese vs Porkchops and Spics vs Chinks.

Says he shot one in the calf, the other in the chest. Reading comments, somebody said one of the cops was shot in the shoulder but the bullet grazed the cheek?
In either case, why two counts of attempted murder? Even if he shot a cop in the face, 1 doesn't equal 2.

Just because he hit them in the cheek and calf, it doesn't mean he wasn't trying to hit them in the chest/head. He shot 2 cops, dude. It wasn't for the hell of it.

How is a trench coat relevant to the story?

They didn't know his name at first, so they described him based on what his hair was like and what he was wearing. He robbed a store last night while wearing the same coat, I'd say it's relevant.

No, but there's a whole bunch of em at work The guy is clearly a paranoid schizofrenic in a psychotic episode from what i gather from the story. Shame that he was able to get his hands on a gun and that apparently noone took action in time, makes it that much more dangerous. Must be weird to have known him in any case...

Both Richards from my class of 30 are dead.

Joe Hendrey went to Iraq and got PTSD. When he came back he got drunk one night and ended up curb stomping his best friend over a minor disagreement. he's in prison now.

No murders afaik.
