Network monitoring software question

I use a portable computer lab (a cart full of laptops with a wireless router and network read printer) at work. I want to be able to monitor activity on each laptop from my own computer. Any software that you can recommend for this - something that would let me check, at any given time, what website each computer is viewing? If it could tell me what apps are running that would be even better.
I'm going to search around myself, but would appreciate any recommendations or suggestions.

Are you monitoring people working on them? If so, over here at least, due to the
Employment Practices Data Protection Code you could probably be sued if you're not careful

i'd guess its to look in on what the students are doing.
if it go's thru, theres always one bill who can beat it :hehe

we have a program at school that the teacher sometimes uses, cant remember the name but i can find out if you want. ive messed on it myself and its very good, you look at any screen on the network at any time and even control it, lock it etc.

VNC -
http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/ would do that but you can only look at a single pc at a time.

well you can see all of the computers and what they're doing on small screens, then you can double click on them to bring them up in a big window where you can control what they do and see more clearly what they're doin etc

Yea, there are no privacy concerns here. These are students using them. They are only to be used for work related to the task at hand.
