Yeah, it should be really good.
It's a bit more adult (but not GRITTY AND DARK like a fucking Zack Snyder film) and I really really love the 70s 'nam aesthetic.

What's with all the female leads?
Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Hope it's good. There are some rather nice designs in it, if I do say so myself. Love me some Shoretrooper action.

Walkers, Death Star, Star Destroyers, Tie Fighters, rebel army (proper one), rebel base (proper one), storm troopers, a mystic dude in a cave, a walk on a gantry that goes absolutely nowhere.
If this has strong characters this could be the Star Wars film I have been waiting for

So this movie is about stealing the Death Star plans?
Kyle Katarn looks unimpressed with this reboot.
Though there's
some speculation that there might be a few nods to the original lore, or at least heavy borrowing.

Says in that link but this fits in with the story rather than it being a soft/hard reboot ?. Force Awakens done way more than a nod and went beyond the realms of heavy borrowing. It was almost theft, which is why It's a soft reboot.
Mon Mothma is a good inclusion with the way it fits in with the wider story n all.
I think it has the potential to be a better rounded movie than FA

Have seen it now and I beg to differ. I actually enjoyed watching Ep7. Then again, if you wait as long as I did, the hype has thoroughly died down and I can appreciate the movie without getting stressed out over every little detail like a panick stricken nerd.
