So I go to the doctor with this godawful pain today...

...and he writes me a scrip for oxycodone.
When my neck was hurt, I was on hydro 10s for about 2 straight years for the pain pre and post surgery. Been awhile since I've had anything narcotic for pain.
I forgot the potency of these little 15 mg bastards...
I'm trying to remember what part of my body was hurting, but my head feels strangely disconnected from it.

heh..no.
Rush popped about 40 a day. I've never had a problem going beyond the prescribed dosage. I know too much about the insidiuous nature of opiate addiction to do that...plus, since chronic pain is kind of a fact of life for me with the fubared neck and kidney stones, I don't want to develop such a huge tolerance to the shit that it is ineffective for them.
Plus, they can cause deafness at high doses chronically.
I think I'll be OK.

You mean just smashing them up and taking them orally? No. I've heard of people doing all sorts of crazy shit, though...
Snorting them. Putting them up their ass to increase absorption. COoking up oxycontin to burn off the time-release agent and inject it...
Not for me.
