But since you crave an educated, personal review I thought I would try to help... Insurgency is an antiquated 1st person shooter that doesn't offer anything stimulating or original. It might have been something 10 years ago. Considering the offerings of today's gaming market, Insurgency is complete shit.

Hey anyone else please respond if you have played this game, Insurgency.

Please be aware I really loved the Q3 mod Urban Terror in its day. i played for seemingly hours some nights as we we lucky enough to have our ISP provide servers and there was a decent following down under as I remember but it has been years.

I have watched a few Insurgency videos on YouTube so far, been busy doing other stuff and my observation is that it is similar in many ways to UrT.

Been playing for 3 months, I think? It's pretty damn fun. By default you freeaim, unless you use sights. All the weapons are realistic and unique and fun to use for their own reasons, in their own situations. I mostly play Push mode, where you have to overwhelm the enemy and occupy 3 objectives in sequence, then blow up the enemy cache. It's no Enemy Territory, but the gunplay makes it really worth it.

I mostly play Breacher class, which means I solve everything with C4 or a silenced Makarov. Every class is fun and has a different focus.

Hey Ganemi I get an error on trying to view you video

Might have had direct linking disabled on the video. I'll try to make a vid later of why exactly its so fun. One of the most rewarding things is running around without ADS and just kills with free aim. Usually if I want to do that I'll pick Makarov, AP bullets and laser sights, which will show exactly where you're aiming without the need to aim down sights. It's very difficult to control while moving, but really fun.
