Strong Viking obstacle run

Did my first obstacle run last weekend. It's a run where you'll have to get past obstacles like climbing over walls, crawling through mud under barbed wires, carrying heavy weight bags through pools of mud and stuff like that. It's absolutely great fun. Has anyone else done something similar?

Nice one Jerry! I didn't realize you were an athlete. That looks fun but what's the point of the slides into water? Is there a drowning risk?

heh, I wouldn't call myself an athlete. I do go for short runs twice a week (5km or so) and longest timed run I've done so far is 15km.

I dunno, it's just awesome to do.

My wife and brother did the MudMasters run a few weeks back. I lolled.
re: slides. The point is that it wears you down. Wet clothes = cold = tightened muscles, and also more weight to lug around.

That first photo, was it Buddha?
I've heard of a few people doing Tough Mudder, sounds pretty extreme.

I did one of these a couple of weekends ago - Survival of the Fittest in Edinburgh (not as hardcore muddy as Eraser's)

It says 10k but the actual distance is more like 13.
Good fun, got roped into it with folks from work

Going to new limits you know. Some people climb K2, I'm happy enough dropping face first into a pool of mud.
