Pretty cool. I like his head shield. And the fact that it looks like he's flying in a public park. That's not really something I would want to attempt in a public setting...
Also, not really a drone if it's manned, now is it?

bad design but I bet he enjoyed building better then flying the beast.
I could do better.

50 Lipo batteries
50 motors
well beyond my hobby budget

that was cool, in a home brew kind of way. I've been flying FPV with a 250 racer for a few months now. cool stuff.

yea i bet he liked building it too.
i know nothing about these things and havnt "researched them" , but usually i see them kind of x shaped .
i guess his x would have a groups on each x tip.
those middle center ones on his i would guess are for brute lifting and i would think that thing has horrible maneuverability because of them

You can pretty much see the lift causing the whole structure to bend and shift causing even more turbulence cause the rotors aren't all perfectly level. That thing looks scary as fuck to sit in and try to pilot. Almost like it doesn't even have a gyro.
Beats the home made glider I made when I was 12 though.

The weight of the craft is distributed poorly and that is why it flies poorly.
Also stiffness is key and his frame is far from stiff.
Flex changes the pitch of the propeller so control suffers.
All batteries under his seat and a much stiffer frame would have made a much more stable craft.
