It's a work place, not some pr stunt. Back end working environments are often messy, yet highly functional for those who are aclimated to that environment. Specially for a lab, that's always changing and shifting around from one project to the next. There's Prolly no time for obsesive compulsive neatness.

Kinda surprised they hadn't tried growing some food before, but better late than never. Lettuce isn't exactly much to write home about though...

and being in space makes your junk shrivel more than being in the coldest above ground pool...just ask scared?
