So I went out camping a few days with the family in France. There were lots of British folk there as well. What stuck with me about them mostly is how noisy, fat and ugly they were. What's up with that?

The Dutch, German, Belgian and Danish tourists I saw were on their best behavior though and not nearly as fat (although the Belgians were a close second in that respect)

Britain has a lot of people like this, it's a weird country. Two distinct classes in the UK: The civilised and the uncivilised. It's no more complicated than that.

No, I think there's a difference. In other countries the classes can be distinguished simply by their economic bracket. In Britain, there is simply scum and non-scum. Very few developed nations actually have an uncivilised class that forms quite as visceral and unhidden part of their culture as it does the UK.

When you say that, you're actually confirming my point, but I don't think that's your intention.

You don't have to go to a specific area in Britain to find uncivilised people. They co-inhabit, sometimes on a home-by-home basis.
