The shark didn't even attack him, it just got caught in his leg rope. The amount they've wanked on about it in the media here is a joke, I wish the shark had bit him in two.

Just read about the photographer they left out there who had to swim back to shore himself
Mick Fanning shark attack: Photographer left to swim back to shore after surfers rescued at Jeffreys Bay.
As jet skis rescued Mick Fanning from a shark attack, a lonely photographer was left bobbing in the water, just 150 metres away.
