More
here.
Of special interest the little craft might die out there
NASA has confirmed its unmanned New Horizons spacecraft made its close fly-by encounter with Pluto after a nine-year journey of more than 5 billion kilometres.
The probe whizzed by the dwarf planet at 9:49pm (AEST) on Tuesday and has beamed never-before-seen photos of Pluto back to Earth.
The images, which have had their colours exaggerated to highlight the differences between Pluto and Charon's surface materials, show how similar in size the dwarf planet and its large moon are.
NASA expects to receive a signal from the spacecraft on Wednesday morning (AEST) to find out whether or not the spacecraft survived the encounter.
Timelapse: Pluto comes into focus
View an interactive timelapse of Pluto images captured by New Horizons, and find out what they tell us about this icy dwarf planet.
Experts said there was a one in 10,000 chance that the baby grand piano-sized spacecraft could collide with debris in the region beyond Neptune, known as the Kuiper Belt.

Going to be better images tomorrow from what I understand. This shot was taken before the closest encounter. Might have even better ones later on... I think the transfer rate from the craft is 1kilobit/sec
