some people are starting to say that this footage is pre-rendered and not in realtime.

Jan-Bart: Yeah, it's basically a representation of the look and feel of the game we're trying to make.
From here (gay flash site, the interview is in there somewhere):

In other words, very vague. "Representation" does not mean real-time in-game.

Yeah, "look and feel" could also be used to refer to just the visual style and atmosphere of the game.

On the other hand... the first Doom3 presentations weren't played in real time either. Chances are that there are a lot of PS3 games shown which aren't played in real time because they just play back the video of the footage that has been rendered in real time by the PS3.

let's just pretend for a moment that this could be in-game footage. i think playing a game like this (with such incredible physics, graphics, and sound) would be almost "too" intense.

Doom 3 came out over 4 years after it's original showing though and the tech was no where near the quality of the final product.

Yeah, I guess I was wrong and it's fake.

I still think it's possible to do this on a PS3 though, just not yet.

Doesn't matter. Looks good. Hope it does when it's out. PS3 still needs a VGA or DVI output and support for standard keyboard and mouse for me to be interested. Or the game could be released for PC aswell ;) (which I would prefer)
