Very nice mouse. So far, very worth the money as it tracks like a dream.
Very nice ergonomics, everything is right where it should be.
As for the realtime adjustable resolution; that parts takes getting used to. Lots of getting used to. You can really notice the difference between 1600dpi and 800dpi. Especially when sniping.
I've only tried it in Battlefield:Vietnam so far, next up is RTCW then Q3.

Nice but it’s never really interested me. Going to try to get to family in New Zealand or a trip to Japan next year if I can.

I'd suggest using USB Overdrive from
http://www.usboverdrive.com as the mouse driver for OS X. It's one of the most useful utilities for input devices on the Mac. You can customize pretty much anything and it doesnt have any odd behaviors from what I can tell.

I've installed it, but it's nagging with registering all the time. I feel like have a little delay with tracking too, or it's skipping a bit, dunno if it's Tiger or Overdrive

I have the MX310 and I like it.
Am I a spastic retard on the same mental level of Kracus if I'm plugging it into my machine using the PS2 port?

Odd, overdrive works great for me. Dunno.

...and there are...um..."ways" to get over the registration nag.

I'm gonna get me one also. When I switched from the MX500 to the MX510 I got much better rail instantly. And I've heard from others who had that experience as well that they hit better yet again with the MX518, so hopefully it will be true for me also

I got a MX518 about a month ago. Played through Resurrection of Evil with it. It's great.
