Anyone see this program on the Discovery channel a day or so ago? Had some dude doing insane math problems in his head, to like the 10,000th decimal point. :icon28:
The guy said he could just see images in his mind, those images mean a certain number to him...and then he just lets the answer fly out without thinking about it.
When the scientist dudes where making sure he was legit they one day gave him some colored clay. Told him a number, and then told him to make the same image his mind was giving him with the clay. The next day (without warning) they told him to do it again with the same number...and they where spot on.
The dude had a stroke or something like that as a kid. Since the tv show I've been trying to re-inact his stroke to know luck.

any tips on how to have a stroke/seizer?

Wasn'the the guy who could recite pie to 10,000 places? Personaly i'd just spend less time remembering pie and more time eating it.

heh
Yes that's quite impressive, I think I read about him online. Does he suffer from any impairment though?

yeah i just watched it
fucking insane.....what was odd though is that i do the same thing, only not as extreme. I see everything as images including number, almost like tetris blocks, however i can't remember shit because i have a shitty memory. poop.

and that colored clay you speak of is called Play-Doh hahaha
edit: and if you want to have a stroke or something watch the south park where cartman tries to have a flashback

Nope, that's the reason it was such a big deal. Not one problem with him, just fucking smart.

About 1% of the general population are savants and 10% of autistic people.

I doubt you can replicate his results. Having a stroke as a child, he probably recovered in some unique way that turned him into a savant (or something like that). Strokes aren't usually as nice.

well, the scientist people said something about the seeing and the thinking part of the brain got wired together during his recovery...you can tell I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, but maybe if I try hard enough I can do it.
My mom says if I try real hard I can achive anything!

Maybe you should "try real hard" to improve your spelling.

you guys are missing the bigger issue here.
bork is asking how to get a stroke. instead of dwelling how impressive that dude on tv is, we should help borke get his seizure :icon14:
