I say we, but it was the pool technicians and the pool needed a little TLC for a blemish on the concrete (underwater).

An expensive job but it is only money and I believe you can't take it with you (when you die).

I was a Prison Officer and proud of it as there is no greater responsibility than to care (contain) your fellow human in custody.

My time in the Prison Service was only 10 years, less than a life lagging and only 1/4 of my working life of just 40 years. I was lucky and with smart money management I was able to retire well before my peers.

We don't pay our water bill, something to do with an administrative fuckup on their end. They'll send one of the inhabitants a letter every year saying 'hi you owe us this much' and then that person sends a letter back saying 'hi, that's not correct, i'm not paying for my neighbours, please adjust your invoice' and then nothing happens - until a year later one of us gets another letter. According to the neighbours this has been going on for 20 years or so...

gotta love bureaucracy sometimes
