Ever see them on the road? My god they're absolutely about as queer as you can get. I bet only stupid wannabe people ride them. And they dare call themselves motorcycle riders.

And people who vape. But that's the same category of people I guess.

Not exactly new, first time i saw one was years ago. But then i live in a city.
PS people who ride mopeds should be strung up for the benefit of society. They all fall into at least two of three following categories; massively overweight, IQ of around 80, people who think sweat pants are an ok look to rock.
I don't understand why they're still legal to be honest. The fucking things are immensly polluting, especially the two stroke engine ones. What was it again, 200 to 2700 times more polluting than a van? Just mindboggeling. Plus they don't even have much more range than an electric model these days i think... a ban on mopeds that run on gasoline would make me very happy indeed. It would make me even happier to ban the things entirely though, in Amsterdam this year mopeds caused 16% of all traffic accidents and were 1,5% of the traffic users. What the shit, right? How is that acceptable in any way?

they're changing the helmet law so that mopedmorons are required to wear one. also theyre going to banned from bikepaths so goodie.
then again it's usually 17 year olds with their bestie no-homo friend riding on the back, both not wearing helmets beeping at everything, weaving through traffic and cussing out people right before they hit the gas like some coward.
with a little luck they'll get run over by cars en masse now

Yeah, glad this is happening - but there's no good reason they're only going to enforce it a year from now.
The counterargument 'but now we'll see more deadly accidents!' made me laugh. Yes, we will - but we'll see far less accidents overall, so fuck em. With any luck they'll die out this way.

Innit just.

Guyse, that three wheeled monster isn't a moped, it's allowed to go on highways as well. It's classed as a motorcycle so you need your motorcycle driver's license for it.

Besides the old guy who is an old biker who can't hold up a bike any longer due to bad knees, I can't see any appeal in riding that three wheeled atrocity. Chances are, the old guy with bad knees wouldn't be caught dead on something like that anyway.

You need a motorcycle licence in Aus to ride a scooter, have to wear a helmet and aren't allowed in bike lanes.

I seem to recall seeing the filth riding them in London. Can't find a picture, but the guys in the office confirm I'm not going mad and that the force have found a new and interesting way to humiliate officers.
Ah, here ya go:

A colleague in my company has one since last year and uses it in the summer half of the year every day for his way to work. The company recently also decided to build e-car loading stations on our paking lot and to buy an e-golf for the car pool.

Always thought I'd like a trike, just for fun

those trikes seem like one of those horrible american inventions that actually got realized. now having said that, I'm sure particular applications in the city, or any space challenged location could come in handy, secially in traffic heavy situations, where gas mileage comfort and maneuverability can be a bonus...
but solely as a luxury/ leisurely toy, it's laughable.
the following for example is a combination of terrible ideas that snowballed into pure idiocy...talk about missing the point. But you know, after decades of living in the land of "just because I can" I can't really fault anything idiotic with a straight face.
