Proposal for gated housing community solely for gay people in Tilburg, The Netherlands

A home on the gated-community would be about €250,000 ($361,000) and be available only to members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.

Peter van der Vorst, a Dutch radio presenter, tweeted that the village would be “a fenced gay ghetto” and said he hoped it was “a bad joke”. Author Cornald Maas said the “obsolete ghetto formation” was “disgraceful”.

lol, first time I hear about this.
Apparently it was a joke though, to provoke a response from people to see how people would deal with the idea.

uh huh

if they think it's a good idea, they're idiots. if they think it's a bad idea, they're homophobic bigots

how about a special uniform that only gay people are allowed to wear, with a pink triangle on it to express their privilege?

it was a publicity stunt, actually got out of hand as foreign news channels picked it up as truth.
it wasn't to test the waters, it was to make people think about the intolerance towards gays.
