Maze - a 15 minutes long cpm movie closing a gaming chapter in the life of a german defrag player who started defragging in 2005.

Movie download should be prefered to youtube streaming, since latter doesn't support 50fps.

With this movie two defragger, Maze and Bliccer, want to say thank you and goodbye to the community.
This piece comes in all kind of flavours (hq, mq, lq):
- the movie including a standard name/time hud
- or topviews of the maps for orientation
- or the COMPLETEPACK, including the topviews as a second video track, input subtitles, extra clips, all redesigned maps (you can also use for your own demos) and maze' demos.

Of course the author recommends to download the completepack and starting the full experience by reading the info file inside.
Every version also includes the good old "ingame only" audiotrack (rightclick in vlc, audio, audiotrack 2)

Maze Completepack
Maze HQ (Hud)
Maze HQ (Topviews)
igmdb (with more dl links and qualities)

Defrag, a Q3 mod based on trickjumps for maximum speed though a route. QL's Race mode is a sort of clone of Defrag.

@Eraser:
http://www.esreality.com/post/2583926/maze/

But you should probably download it and watch it offline, since it has 50fps, a framerate youtube doesn't replay.

One thing I've always liked about trickjumping videos is the choice of music. It's been a long time since I've seen one.

Slick moves. I'm actually surprised at how good some of these defrag maps look. I always was under the impression that there was more of a function over form thing going on there. Guess I was wrong.

CPM physics are even worse than VQ3 physics. Nerds version of physics. Simulations like Gran Turismo beat them hands down. Before you say a racing game is nothing like Q3, let me tell you Defrag is all about going as fast as possible; you are racing against the clock from A to B, remember?

CPM requires a large amount of motor skill to do most of the physics bugs it has, like plasma ground boosting, grenade ground boosting, rocket ground boost etc (consistantly). Saying it's "worse" than VQ3 is pretty ignorant, VQ3 is a lot easier, and a hell of a lot more of a snoozefest.

Defrag also isn't just about racing, the majority of it is helping each other break the game, finding different ways to do maps, community. Some of the best players constantly quit over on q3df because of a lack of challenge in fact. Its a big part don't get me wrong but there's a lot more to it than that.

Seriously man, why bother at all?
DTS is saying both Q3 and CPMA physics are crap because a game like Grand Turismo has much more realistic physics. The whole debate should just end there, because you know you'll end up in a steaming pile of stupidity otherwise.
