Oh yes, the next installment in the Batman Arkham series is being developed by Rocksteady again. What's known so far is that it'll feature a driveable Batmobile and it'll be released for PC, XBone and PS4. Also, it will be the final game in the Arkham series.

this makes me moist.
also, let them fuck off with the Joker. it was a sign of weakness from WB to reuse him in Origins. Move on plz kthx.

But Rocksteady is awesome so they probably won't use him.

Pre-order exclusive DLC features Harley Quinn, so I'm not sure if that's a sign The Joker is in there.

I went hardcore into asylum and city but lost interest pretty quick in origins, I have been meaning to give it another bash though

Kind of agree with Memph - not a terrible game at all

Asylum felt tighter and more refined and while City improved the combat and animation, Gotham itself felt too empty at times. The villains were great and playing as Catwoman was probably the best part. Harley Quinn DLC sucked major ass though.

In comparison, Origins is buggy and clumsy. The story is bland so far, the voice acting sucks (glad the original Batman is back for Knight) and the combat counters aren't as responsive as they were in City leading to some incredibly frustrating moments. It feels like an EA game at times. It seems Rocksteady does a much better job of polishing and refining their games which unfortunately hasn't been the standard for big-title games in almost a decade.

Robin's free-flow moves were OK at best, but the entire campaign took place in the same steel mill that you go in and out of about 200 times in the main story. Then you end up traversing a large room and take down Harley with ease to win the game. You could tell Rocksteady slapped the whole thing together in a very short time. I haven't played the Mr. Freeze DLC in Origins yet but I'm hoping it won't be more of the same.

Catwoman didn't get enough screen-time in City, but I don't think that detracts from the character itself. Her moves actually made the combat encounters fun again and forced you to break the norm on predator rooms. She should've had a proper story mode.

This is a description of the things I did in a demo of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight, due out this June on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. And if any of the above sounds a whole hell of a lot like the camp film Batman & Robin, well, that's because it's eerily similar. If you were a fan of that Joel Schumacher-directed 1997 nipple fest or the open-world distractions of the 2011 video game Arkham City, then that gameplay might sound pretty awesome. But for a fan of Batman: Arkham Asylum like myself, however, this sample of Arkham Knight was disconcerting.

I've decided I'll wait for the GOTY edition which will undoubtedly arrive after half a year with all the DLC included for free.
