Sup y'all

I've decided not to upgrade my system (XP3200+ 1gb 3200, 9800 pro etc.) until most likely some time in the new year. So ive been looking to get a new sound system to replace my aging 4.1 (which doesn't always work, will only work 100% if i use it in stero mode )

I've been looking around and have seen this:

http://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=4&subcategory=113&product=9593

It will cost something like £160, I would just like some opinions of it..

Also, will it work with my nForce onboard sound card?

and my mobo:

I've heard that 7.1 isn't widley used that much, is this true? otherwise I will get a 5.1 system.

get a 5.1 for pc. 7.1 is for a real home theater setup, not tiny speakers.

also, i'd look elsewhere for speakers. Creative is crap.

Logitech x-530 is more than I need. Costs 70€ I think.

And don't get 7.1. Even in Home Theater Setups you hardely get benefits from it since they are no 7.1 encoded DVD (that I know off).

You should also test Altec Lansings systems. I've had it before and it absolutely rocks :)

If you're looking for soundcards, be sure to test M-Audio Revolution 7.1 or 5.1 also. Very very good.

Looks like he's sticking to onboard netrex.
Which should be fine for a sub-70€ system.
