Quake3World

I have a q3 server that I'm running custom maps on. It has 10 player slots. Its set up as FFA
baseq3. Presently there are 2 maps running on it, aty3dm5 and aedm7. If some people here
would like to test their maps I would be willing to put it on the server for said purpose and
depending on the day and time I would also be willing to play it with whomever would like to
have a go. Just pm me here at q3w.

Bots - Anarki , Xaero , Lucy , Sarge at level 3 difficulty.

Nice to see AEdm7 in there. First time I ever played that map online... and getting my butt kicked by less than Hardcore bots, mainly due to my 150 ping. Recently my download speed went up to 1.6 MB/s, so I was hoping my ping would at least be ISDN (i.e. around 50). Sigh.

Maybe I am missing some console command I should be setting.

(Just checked a web based ping test, I get around 20ms, a ping to http://www.google.de is around 11ms. What a relief, so I finally do have a fast connect... in Germany.)

You (AEon) are an Instagib fan aren't you? There are also quite a few Mods out there that use Unlagged tech.
Its been a while since I had to admin a server. It took me a little while yesterday to get it setup beyond the
default settings it came with.
As for game settings this is what I use - rate 25000 , snaps 40 , com_maxfps 200 , cl_maxpackets 100 .
