Try this Geoff: Put a chunk of butter between two warm waffles. Let it melt for a bit, remove top waffle and spread butter.

Or you could leave your butter out for a while and let it soften.

This is what non-morons do.

Uh the butter goes into the first few waffle tracks and gets all used up...the more it's melted the worse it is...and that spray butter is kinda gay...

they got that where you live? It's a typical Dutch product you don't often find outside our borders. Well, except in tiny packages as cake decoration I guess.

no not available anywhere at all there is a dutch store down the road called The Bake Oven it has loads of all Dutch goods

i cherry pick there like everywhere i get sprinkles , blooker coacoas couple other things, occasionally grab my wife some of the black licorice shes all Dutch so she likes some traditional stuff

when i say the sprinkles taste cheap its because i feel theyre very sweet and not very quality chocolatey taste, thats good for my lady tho as she pops a nut and goes loco with real choco so these are fun for her.

because i cant help comparing all choclate to the swiss france belgin i'm so experienced at

I was avoiding the topic because here we rarely, if ever put butter on waffles.
It is usually scoops of ice cream, and on toasted (kitchen toaster) waffles then throw on caramel ice cream topping.

That's true-ish. But I would suggest you try the dark chocolate ("puur") ones in red packaging instead of these. They contain more cocoa and taste more chocolaty. I prefer those, but I prefer darker chocolates to the lighter ones in general.

Actually, I've come to enjoy the XXL variants, like this one:

Its grains are much bigger and have more cocoa in them (43%).

There's also the "intense" variant:


Normal sized grains but 60% cocoa. If you like real chocolate, then that must tingle your taste buds

my favourite (have a dutch friend who brings groceries over whenever she's at college) is still gestampte muisjes - chomped through a whole pack of those biscuit things the other day with that stuff.

back on topic, just fucking kill yourself geoff - obviously in a way that doesn't demand very fine motor control. how about making yourself a full-face helmet out of a melon and duct tape, hammering dozens of nails partway into it, popping it on and then throwing yourself down a flight of stairs. you could get the kids to help you make the helmet, it'd give them something to remember the day by.
