I was
googling as you do, just last night, thought I'd pass it on as it has been years since Earthlings last left that soil
Most of those Astronauts* now then are in their 80+ years
List of Apollo Astronauts
Interesting?
Regarding "the last man to walk on the Moon", Schmitt is the last person to arrive (as Cernan got out of the Apollo Lunar Module first), but Cernan is the last person to leave
*Been watching a documentary on the TV that prompted the topic

heh.
Those guys stepped so far that no ones even tried doing it since. I'm always looking to rip the yanks over pretty much anything but fair play, they were the only country with the capability and the gusto to even attempt it

Yes, got to give them credit for that small step/giant leap

It truly is a great and historical event for both human and American history.
Too bad half of Americans don't believe it actually happened.
But I agree...those fuckers were mad to ride an explosion to the moon and back. They should carve their faces onto a moon mountain similar to USA's Mount Rushmore. I'm not even a yank and I'd contribute some of my Canadian tax dollars to get it done.
