For several hours, millions of people around the world thought it was real.
A YouTube video that appeared to show an eagle snatching a baby in Mont Royal Park in Montreal went viral, leaving many to ask: Was it real?
Well, the truth came out Wednesday afternoon when a Montreal animation school admitted that the film was cooked up by third-year students.
Both the eagle and the child were created in 3D animation and integrated into the real shooting, the school, NAD Centre, said in a statement.
The “Golden Eagle Snatches Kid” was produced by Normand Archambault, Loïc Mireault and Félix Marquis-Poulin.
