if it's any consolation, it wears off after a year or so. got it back when i was on call and wore a pager, then a mobile, on my belt. for ages afterwards, i'd randomly feel the phantom phone ringing on my waist. always startled me because (back when i actually carried one) it only ever rang if something had gone wrong and needed fixing five minutes ago.

considering you only ever use your phone to play games and post bollocks on the internet, couldn't you just move it to another pocket or leave it on a table? is time critical in that scrabble thing?
