Quake3World

It's been quite a while since I have done any mapping let alone download any custom q3 maps. When I went searching around for all the old sites I used to know of, none of them seem to be around anymore.
I'm planning on making a couple q3 maps and is nice to see work from others for inspiration so if you have any ideas, would appreciate it.
I know QuakeLive seems to be the thiing any more as well, but does anyone know of any q3 servers running nowadays?

hey dude, yeah it's been a long time. I used to venture over here about once every 6 months or so over the last 5 or 6 years but since I have moved and have better connection, more time to map, etc, I have been frequenting a lot more.
