I hate phone companies....

So I get this new cell phone the other day costing me a whopping 400 bones. I've had the phone for 3 weeks so far and I've been disconnected from services twice already. :icon33:

So get this, I haven't even been billed yet and they canceled my account once so far and again today I suspect, I haven't called yet but they canceled it because my bill is too high. Like WTF!? I could see them getting all upset if I hadn't paid it and I was even kind enough to go pay them 200$ last week to shut them the fuck up! Think I should go club someone?

Apply your tolerance that you learned here.

Yes club someone.

Yeah it just really pisses me off cause I REALLY need my cell phone working. I've just never heard of a company canceling an account before the person even has a chance to pay the bill! :dork:

It's through Rogers too in case anyone is wondering.

You on a contract? Cause they retail for about 225$ US on most comercial websites.

You got bent over for the cost of the phone man as its more negotiable than you may think. I deal with Rogers here in BC too but every time they fuck up in the slightest just ask for 3 months unlimited daytime calling. Out of the last two years I have had 13 months of free daytime minutes due to their glitchy (kind of) new billing software. That software has saved me at least a few thousand bucks.

Hey that's cool, I'd give that a shot except that I already have 4 months unlimited access.

Do it anyways. Tell them you want the free time to kick in after that four months. A manager can and will do it for ya ;) .

Yeah beleive me I know how call centers work. The first time they nicked it I pushed all the buttons right and got her to fix it up for me I just can't beleive they did it again.

Their service is great and the call centre staff are really customer focused so in that regard they're an excellent company. Their billing system is the only downfall to dealing with them IMO. And yeah, I hear you on the frustration. I had at least one disconnection a month for 4 months when the bill was always paid in advance and in full and line was used primarily for business :icon8:. Hence all the free time.

A Motorola :icon19:

EDIT: Motorola is possibly the worst brand one can get their hands on. Their phones are mostly complete shit.

Thats one ugly phone :icon28:

Anyways, I'm on orange in the UK and i get the same shit. I get charged sometimes double what i should be, and yet when i phone them up they go "sorry mate, looks like it was an error on the system"...

So if i hadn't of phoned these guys up, i would of paid this thing, and they wouldn't of said jack shit :icon33:

I hate contract phones. The only reason i got one was because i wanted the SGH-d500 andi wasn't gonna pay £300 for it on PAYG. So, i settled for free phone and a £25 a month contract. Once this years done, fuck it, i'm popping my old orange PAYG sim back in...

I have a contract. They never overcharged me once. Each time my contract ends (after 1 year) i go to their store saying: "I pay too much and wish to terminate my contract'. Their reply is: "No sir please don't! Do you want a new phone? Why don't you go ahead and pick one. Any one."

Which i then do.
