I went down to talk to the dean of the CIS program because I received a letter saying that the program was being changed. Well it turns out I've been screwing myself over by taking a ton of general education classes to get them out of the way. So now I have to go test out of web design (was going to anyways) and hope that the classes I need don't get cancelled before I can take them! The problem is that I might get stuck going to class part-time which would make me forfeit my scholarship. Here I thought I was going to get out early and now I've got even longer.
But I found out I'm on the Dean's List so atleast I got some good news.

Hmm, don't most colleges honor the catalog that you are under? Here at UNLV, if you start out with the 1999 catalog, an apocalypse could occur, and you'd still have to take the 1999 required classes/equivalents.

Don't rush to get out of college, it's all shit after that. You'll end up at home, without a job, with a melted car, a pulled groin, losing jobs that were basicly handed to you because you couldn't hack the 8-hour interview while all your friends have fun in college.

true that. I know here at OSU that's the case so it's definantly something worth checking into too.

yes, it was the same at Indiana University, as well.

Not really...I've been paying rent for a place since before I graduated from high school, my car is brand new, and I'm practically guaranteed a job at Nationwide given that I graduate.
And anyone who has attended devry will tell you that it is NOT fun. There is no campus to live on, there are no frats, there are no parties, and worst of all there are no girls. It is the worst college in the history of colleges...To me graduation simply means more money and more free time (I've been working full time for the last 5 years so taking school out of the picture sounds fucking awesome).

Good luck bit, edit: that is when you graduate. Don't have kids for at least 10 years, if ever.

Not devry. Anyone with my seniority or less will have to pick a "track" which involves 5 specialized classes instead of 5 generic classes. Thankfully web application development is in the running to be offered at my campus. But if I get stuck taking computer ferensics i'm going to shit a fucking brick.
