It's not stupidity really, it's ignorance and lack of an education that leaves them using their religion as their measurement of time.

I mean, you just have to recall some of the things Tnf said he had to deal with in teaching science in America.

Both my parents are religious, my granpa on my father's side was a fucking priest.

None of them ever taught me anything about science, and aside from some very little science exposure in highschool, there was no other source of forced info on me.

What i know , I know because of college electives , the discovery channel and other networks, reading books from a bookstore on my onw premise and now through various internet sources.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, lack of education can only be partly blamed for the sheer stupidity that is on display here.
Enough with the finger pointing, people sometimes need to realize they have an obligation to themselves.

I was gunna say the same. Too many people think that if something isn't explained to them in neat, bite-sized chunks, then it's probably not worth knowing.

And just to clarify, the sources I listed only became points of interest after my own analysis on what dogmatic nonsense and the things I was observing with my own eyes were not mixing well. Critical thinking lead me to look for real answers.

You can't force clarity on anyone without them having at least the ability to formulate critical thought processes. Forcing proper education on people is just not gonna cut it, they need to be receptive of it.
