My old computer was crapping out so I built a new one. I expected to have some problems running my older
software but have gotten alot of it to run but still having issues with trying to do Q3 mapping. Here is what is
in my new computer-
2 - GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2GB
Intel Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz
G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB DDR3 2400
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit

First and formost ,the only way I could get Q3 to run was to copy it from my old hard drive to this computer.
Win7 wont even pretend to let you install it in the normal way.
-I use UIE12 (Much better than id UI),When trying to launch bsp in q3a that are in the map folder I get the
cant find bsp but have no issues loading maps that are pk3 files in the baseq3.
-If I run the build from the radiant taskbar it goes thru the entire process but no bsp is saved in the map folder.
-if I run the build using q3map2toolz I get "Failure delete old batchfile: Path/File access error

Run GtkRadiant and Q3Map2Toolz with administrator access.

Ok, have things almost working. I can work on my maps and save the changes but when I build the map none of the teleporters or jumpads work.
I've been messing with it on and off for more than a week.

I also use win7 64bit and everything works fine. Maybe you set some wrong paths so it can't find the entities.def?
And always start the program as admin: right-click start as admin
Also Q3 installs fine from the CD. Also start as admin? It's different if you click on yes in the next window when you double clicked the exe file or if you chose start as admin.

I under stand all of that. I think I'm just going to reinstall everything and see if I can get things working.

Edit: Well got everything working. Windows 7 is a pain. Sometimes I think Ide rather sit on the back porch
and smash my balls with a hammer.
