i wanted to ask how the olympics are looking on ur tv's

here it is really annoying because its overly compressed needlessly!

commercials are dead fucking clear tho :olo:

i record over the air tv using a netbook with a little piece of hardware that records the actual stream so if i do record it will look exactly like the broadcast (huge files but so what)

i bet those who record useing tivo type things the files will be totally shitted up, i assume that is thier goal?

its really a shame because its the one of the best kinds of art watching these athletes especially in the super slo-mo, the compression just fucking kills the joy tho.

the water is just macroblocken :grrr:

i dont really watch it but i wanted to show it and explain it to my kids.

so anyways, is it compressed tto much where you are ?

yes that is probably the case maybe

its on ctv here, i get the best possible signal from over the air reception.

i can only imagine how shit it must be getting it on cable or satellite here, theyre always the worst.

Time has not been kind to the Olympic games. There are some events that are pretty cool, but more often than not they're pretty boring and some are just head-scratching-induced-"Really?!?" 's.

Is adding trampolining to the Olympics considered jumping the shark yet?

what retard thought it would be a good idea to send Ryan Motherfucking Seacrest all the way to London to read people's fucking tweets on air? if i wanted to read random tweets about... well, anything... i'd FUCKING READ THEM MYSELF ON TWITTER.
