Remember those mouse pads? Well are they still sold anywhere? After 11 years the surface of mine is like sandpaper...

Same mouse as usual...the surface of the everglide was different. If I flip the mouse mat the otherside is tip top and very lovely to use despite it being rough

As a warning, be careful if you end up looking at the Megasoma from Razer. It doesn't work with the laser on my G9 but it does work with the MX518.

I use a fairly generic fabric one by Steelseries. It's excellent.

Cutting mats work well too but i found that can hurt the underside of your wrist on the sharp edge after a while

I have the MX518 so this is good news...

Having recently gotten back into quake, and being sick of having to keep applying pledge to my 12 year old everglide, I've gone through a whole bunch of mousepads in the last few weeks, and have settled on the artisan shiden-kai mid.

i just use my table top, it's a fairly smooth black surface...like those top layers they put on top of compressed wood. my mouse might be microskipping (yeah i just made that up, don't google it) but I don't notice anything off with the smoothness.

Juls - My Wingman was the best Quake mouse I ever used. Can't get them for love nor money though now which is a shame.

Cheers for the heads up on the mats guys...found a new Giganta on eBay buys its got a massive ghey Doom 3 logo on it so I'm unsure on what to do
