Guild wars...

is it as good as people are letting on?
and take it easy, the last mmorpg that i played was ultima online..
im downloading the beta test of PSO.. to give that a swing. ( just so people say to try that first )

its great. i can walk about the land for hours just exploring, not doing anything.
its breathtaking to see rolling hills on one side then walk into a valley and discover some ancient castle or summat.
and thats only the tutorial land

Its not a MMO, so yeah..
its massive, its multiplayer and its online. i think those are the criterai for an MMO.
or is this one of those "its not WoW" quips ?

Well to be perfectly fair, it's not really. All missions and exploratory bits are instanced for your party. The developers have even said it's not a MMORPG, instead they call it a CORPG (cooperative online RPG).
