Should have guessed from the huge gimmicky marketing campaign that the game itself would be shit or at best barely mediocre. It is both. Seems to epitomize clunky gameplay. Control of your character just feels odd, the animations for things like throwing grenades are ridiculously bad. Every enemy character is carrying a different gun with a different scope too which is just irritating for some reason. Sprinting feels more like powerwalking - you are trying to sprint across a firefight to get to cover and it just feels slow. Dialogue might not be so painful if the voice acting wasn't so bad.

The previews all looked bad to me. The single player almost sounded okay, but apparently people are beating it in 3 hours.

What I do like about the multiplayer is (as far as I know) shit isn't unlocked as you rank up, but rather purchased each round with points you accumulate. So the guy sitting back sniping doing fuck all to help the team won't get many points, and won't be able to purchase upgrades or vehicles. And it all only lasts the round. Good design decision, IMO.

Still, I'm not paying $50 for that. Just keeping my fingers crossed for BRINK.

singleplayer is alright, multiplayer is quite a bit more fluid

edit: I enjoy the game, contrary to what the reviews have been saying.

Saw a trailer on TV yesterday, looked like it's from 2004, I mean it looks very dated.
