Odd gap when I use large icons in Win7 Quick Launch

Hey guys, just finally made the move to Win7 after getting a new cpu etc, and everything feels much smoother now. I got the QuickLaunch toolbar to show up easy (Though its a shame the MediaPlayer 12 wont shrink to the quick player like before, and instead even with the hack it kinda sticks there) but my main gripe is more something that just annoys me...
If I use small icons in the Quick Launch, I get this:
But if I use large icons in the Quick Launch (what I want) then I get this:
See the gap below all the active windows at the bottom? I figure its a simple "change height of Quick Launch icons" change but I cant seem to find it anywhere. I know its only a small thing but its one of those "pfft" things that I think is more than likely a 5 second reg fix some place, its just silly I cant find it.
Cheers peoples.

Who uses the QuickLaunch toolbar on Windows 7 when you can just pin your favourite programs to the task bar? The effect is the same thing, plus benefits of jump lists and other stuff. What a noob.

Its almost as if different people do different things?
But it happens with whatever I use anyway, regardless.

My point is, the Quick Launch is only there for legacy reasons and only makes sense if you revert back to Vista/XP standard taskbar. For any other reason, the Win 7 taskbar does the same thing only better.
Anyway, there will always be a small gap between toolbars (always has, even on older versions of Windows), though you can see if you can drag the toolbars around to see if you can minimize the size of that gap. Right click on taskbar, Properties, disable Lock the taskbar and see if you can drag the toolbars around. Then lock again when finished.

The gap was "under" the right most tabs, not the gap between the icons on the quick launch and the tabs. Thats always been there, and there are ways around it.
As for the issue, meh, I got rid of quick launch and messed around with the pinned stuff, works better and I dont get the gaps anymore, so this issue is moot lol.

Wasn't that what I was telling you in the first place? I'd like to echo my previous comment, "What a noob.

even not counting pinned items the quick launch is still worthless in 7. I don't have any icons anymore, all I do is hit the windows button then type the first two letters or so of whatever program I want.
