Ideas?

What I'm looking for is a few fresh ideas to help me in some maps I am making. I have 2 dm maps and 3 ctf maps on my hdd that I have gone about as far as I can go then brain-lock happens.
Some obligatory screenies:

Umm, the dm maps, I will have to open the editor and grab some screenies that way as I don't have them in paks yet. For now, how about some thoughts on the map shown above?

Oh yeah and for obsidian:
You think you might have a little bit of space available for the map so people can look at it?

Just upload them to mediafire or dropbox. If you want, you can send them to me via msn, xfire or anything else you use and I can host them via dropbox for you if you don't have it.

Just take a break, man. Didn't you just pump out like 5 maps in a row? No one can keep up that pace forever. The rest cycles are just as important as the growth cycles. Just look around in nature and you will see

I hear ya Pat. Break is needed for sure.
@ cityy, it's when your mapping so much your brain ceases to work correctly when you try to get a map done

Put a bloody altar inside your church and then plaster everything in your level with blood stains and rotten/burnt flesh and body parts hanging on every brick, and finally call the map something like "Ritual gone wrong"?
Cheap and cheesy, I know. Am I experiencing a brain(dead)lock myself right now? I'm sure someone else can come up with a
much better idea, sorry roughrider.

Hmm, I'm always in need of trim
As for the first 2 spots shown, they are short pathways and I didn't want to cramp it up.
I sent the map on to obsidian and I believe he will post a link up to it shortly, then for those interested, you can look at what I have so far.

obsidian, king holder outer of new materials and textures :/ how much longer are you gonna keep us waiting until we can use your sweet textures? huh?

Not bad.
Some thoughts/suggestions/opinions:
- RA jump is too hard atm (unless I missed some teleporter leading there or you are supposed to RJ there only), it feels like the bridge2rail @ q3dm6
- I don't like the 2 elevators at GL / personal tele. one would be ok but who wants to ride them both for these 2 items?
- central area and the flag rooms seem a bit large and flat (floor)
- the alternate route to flag (via PG, GL and all that stuff) felt very long to me compared to simply going straight through the middle
- there are spawns in the central area that send you into the death fog if you have FORWARD pressed (what most people *will* press at respawn I guess) and don't react very quickly (those spawns are on the outer, upper ring)

This location was typically meant for harder jumps across to keep the bots from it. It can be accomplished without doing a rj.

I hear ya. I originally only had 1 with the elevator but still had the 2 locations as it is now. But the jump from the top of the jp over to either side was a little much so I made them both with an elevator.

I understand what you mean, I have been toiling with that problem, which is why I have it up here for you peeps to toss around some of your ideas. Might help me eliminate the brain-lock.

I'll take care of that
. I remember them there but never had a problem with them, but as the map creator, I already new they were there so I can see why I wouldn't have a problem with falling in and others would.
I will do some more adjustments and drop a new version up. I am also going to start a new thread with pics from 2 of my latest dm maps.
