So after a 5 hour drive today I made a list of the top 5 albums I would choose if I could listen to nothing else for the rest of my life. My choices are as follows:

The Chemical Brothers - Surrender
Stone Roses - Stone Roses
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
The Beatles - Rubber Soul
Oasis - (Whats The Story) Morning Glory

There are some others that come so close to being in there its untrue...but I think this would be my perfect list...

Others that got really close:

Stereophonics - Performance and Cocktails
A Pefect Circle - Mer de noms
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
Muse - Origin of Symmetry
Muse - Showbiz
Prodigy - The fat of the Land
Kasabian - West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylam
Foo Fighters - There is nothing else to lose
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers EP
Boards of Canada - High Scores EP
Autechre - Tri Repetea

Anyway - post your top 5 :)

A quick list based on how much I enjoyed every song on the album, in order:

Pink Floyd - Echoes (If I can't cheat with comps, The Dark Side of the Moon)
Fear Factory - Obsolete
Whitechapel - A New Era of Corruption
Sybreed - The Pulse of Awakening
Celldweller - Self-titled

Honorable mentions:
Mushroomhead - XIII
NIN - Year Zero
The Faceless - Planetary Duality
Misery Signals - Controller
Fear Factory - Mechanize
Five Finger Death Punch - The Way of The Fist
DevilDriver - The Fury of Our Maker's Hand
The Black Dahlia Murder - Nocturnal
All That Remains - The Fall of Ideals
Veil of Maya - The Common Man's Collapse
Twin Method - Volume of Self
Tool - Aenema

Geez...I would be a lot more comfortable picking 10.

That's why it's his list and not yours. Just sayin...

I couldn't possibly narrow it down to a top five...

Oooh... This is a tough one.

I'd probably say these are the definite top 3:
Live - Secret Samadhi
Pearl Jam - Yield
dredg - El Cielo

Then it's hard to choose the next two spots from any of these:
Tool - Aenima
Rusted Root - When I Woke
Alice In Chains - Dirt
Alice In Chains - Unplugged
Mad Season - Above
Live - The Distance to Here
Cake - Comfort Eagle
Pearl Jam - No Code
Pearl Jam - Ten
Toadies - Hell Below/Stars Above
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Rage Against The Machine - RATM
Live - Throwing Copper
Counting Crows - August and Everything After

Although, if I was choosing only the albums I could listen to for the rest of my life, I'd probably throw in some classical or jazz, just for variety.

Alice Donut - Mule
Alice Donut - The Untidy Suicides of Your Degenerate Children
NIN - The Downward Spiral
Queensrÿche - Operation Mindcrime
Fifth is a toughy, but all of these are open to change anyway, so... ZZ Top - Tejas

But I'm also incredibly fond of Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
and The Wildhearts - Earth Vs.
and Iron Maiden - Killers / Powerslave
and Pigface - Fook
with loads more in the wings, including Fishbone, The Specials, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Primus, Anthrax, Ministry, etc.

apart from the obvious personal taste stuff, chaos is broader, better produced and a lot more accessible than remains.

Where's your list then? Oh right, you're letting your wife pick the 5 albums, just like she picked the fridge and dishwasher.

And by dishwasher I mean you.

It's you, you are the dishwasher.

It's not a bad album, and has sentimental value for me on top of that, so go fuck yourself. :)

Oh, and BTW, I almost got in trouble at work thanks to you, U4EA. Browsing Q3W was fine, but your icon was deemed "offensive in the workplace". :olo:
