Played it, it's super duper nice as a 1 vs 1. Only concern is the number of stairs (stairs tend to make precise aim harder).
Hope to see original textures and theme for it. :)

Nice map as usual :D The only thing that I noticed at the moment that needed work, was the Jumppads. When you walk onto them, you just bounce up and down. You have to hold forward strongly to get up there.

Nice map, texturing and lighting could be more exciting (I know it's not meant to be final) but I like the layout. :)

I'd also vote to change the JPs. You may always know which direction you wanna go because you built the map, but I think the JPs should push people to the proper destination even if they use them without having an idea where they wanna go -- like during a fight while you're still learning the layoutof the map. The bots also bounce up and down on them sometimes.

To me this feels almost too large to be a 1v1. I don't like the lava or jump pads very much. The jump pads feel a bit unnecessary. The scale on some parts is pretty different, and the steps aren't the best method of transportation in a 1v1.

I know this is still beta, but right now I would be reevaluating some of the decisions you made with the jump pads at least.

On a positive note, I like the map's structural design, and I think the flow is pretty good (besides some flaws due to the jump pads and abrupt walls that cause the flow to end). To me this map would be a good FFA if it had a central area with a power up.

Hey spirit! Where have you been lately? We didn't spoke for quite a long time, and just yesterday jdolan mentioned something about coming back to q2w ;). And where is your competition map! :)

Hehe, I've been busy studying for my final exams (at the library => no internet for the major part of the day) and doing other stuff lately.

I've got 2 or 3 layouts on writing pads somewhere in my room but I doubt I'll find the time to turn one of them into a level within the next few weeks, let alone participate in the NG2 competition. I blame girls, university and my D60.

On q2w: I'd like to see some progress with q2w and get back into level design a bit so that's good news. Good luck with your map and see you in #quetoo!

Second release. Right now I'm awaiting all the feedback you can provide :). It's almost final, as all the important things were finished (lightning, clipping, shaders, etc). Also there is tdm support now, for 2v2 gameplay. IL is a little bit different, and team location informations are added. Maverick, hope you can put it on some servers to test it properly ;). Please, report all the bugs that still could be there.

I've updated the archive. Some small bugs vere fixed, so I advice to re-download the map. Also a thing to remember for those who dl it for adding it to private maps archive, you can wait with downloading, until map in on lvl. Until then, there still are possible some changes, as it's competition map, and until the competition isn't closed I can change sth ;).

Beautiful map, congrats on the texture use, the only thing I was bothered with at the beginning was that location:

Ok, last update, as competition ends soon. This time it's really final, even if there are 2 quads placed by accident in lava =). Check the first post!
