No , northern actually. It's the Al Asad airbase northwest of Baghdad in Iraq

Oh, Iraq.
Thought it might have been in like Utah, New Mexico area....Iraq had crossed my mind, but then I saw all the Chevy pickups and figured it wasnt.

Yeah, you can really tell those are "shrapnel barriers."
It just looks like some boxes.

Thats about all it does too. After we put al that shit up, every rocket and mortar either hit the roof or just above the barriers.
It was like wtf did we do all this work for

Damn that's cool, I was in a Sand storm once but didn't get to see it like that, I only just got through the door fast enough to miss the storm.

I lived out west for a couple years in lloydminister. A city on the border of Alberta and Saskatchewan. That's where the sandstorm was.

Somewhat.... I miss all the people I worked with... plus life was easy over there. All I had to worry about was getting to work on time and not dying
