RTCW: What's the deal with the end boss' mook ghosts?

The final guy is cake so far, but what's with those homos that make your vision all black for a few seconds? Does anything kill them or do you just have to wait them out (I noticed they disappear after awhile).
I can run around and kill off all the minions and get buddy pretty low on health I think, but nearing his death I get overwhelmed with those homo ghost guys, take me from full health to dead in a few blind seconds. :/

The trick is to kill off a few minions and while he's creating more attack him.
Never found a way to harm the ghosts, if there even is a way.
edit: Rereading your post, seems like you already figured that out though.

Don't bother with the minions; you just adhere to "Final Boss In Videogames Strategy #1" - circle-strafe the bugger (ideally with the Venom gun) until he falls over. Takes about 3 seconds with practise

True, but I usually kill a few off to keep him occupied anyway.

is sooo easy as geebs said just circle strefe the fooker!!!
any 1 think he look like rob zombie?

Either kill him via shooting him with the venom as been said, which is very easy, or get him under that big "thing" and shoot it so it falls on him. Its been so many years since i played it i forgot what that "thing" was however D:

I roasted him. Not that hard if you just keep moving. Lighting the shielded homos on fire works wonders to keep them busy dying while you run circles around buddy with the Venom.
TBH, it was all too easy so now I'm replaying the game on hard mode.

Drop it, play the MP. Its one of the best MP's around, very very slick, lots of fun.

i have never played rtcw b4 online, i really must get it agine with ET and play that! is it any good?

RtCW / ET is the best team-based FPS multiplayer out there.
It requires skill, tactics and teamwork.
Aside from original Quake, it's the only FPS I play online nowadays.
Quake for Deathmatch, RtCW for teamplay.
That's all you'll ever need.
