chrome is much better than firefox

now there are extensions to get some nice smooth scrolling going on and a decent adblocker, 30k memory usage per tab is a lot nicer than the 500k memory hemorrhage that firefox had become, not to mention facebook chat doesn't cause my computer to grind to a halt anymore. hooray!

Not necessarily. I don't have those issues that you're listing with FF.

my ff is about 150 when im doing teh dev thing.
but, i opened chrome the other day to test some html5 stuff and fucking hell its fast

There's a limit to just how much stuff I want from a single company. I'm OK with search and mail from Google, OS and AV from Microsoft. Don't really want to start depending on any 1 vendor more than that, especially since it's known that Google will mining as much data as possible from any source.
