Anyone else watching this?

It's pretty decent, it's got Julie from Lost and whatshisface the pilot from Firefly.
Also, i have fond memories of the original and so far they're sticking to the story pretty well... Only been a few episodes but it's a proper attempt at breathing life into a corny show from back in the day methinks :)

Anna = Inara from Firefly

I think both V and Flashforward are fucking awful. The scripts are terrible and the acting is even worse.

The main guy in Flashforward only has one expression that looks like he is both pissed and confused that someone near where he should be looking is flashing a light in his eyes. And the script. God damn the script for Flashforward pisses me off. The main thing I hate about it is that 99% of their problems would be resolved if people just fucking talked.

Example:
wife: "Hey honey, I saw myself potentially being with another man but I don't want that so I'm going to avoid him when we meet."
husband: "Thats ok, apparently I start drinking again. As long as we help each other get through this the future we saw wont happen."
*wife finds out guy she might be sleeping with is her patients father*
wife: "Hi boss, I need you to take me off this boy's case because in my flash forward I think I had an affair with his father."
wife: "Hey boys father, somehow in my flash forward I saw us together, I don't want this to happen so please leave me alone or i will get a restraining order"
guy: "yea totally"
*PROBLEM FUCKING SOLVED*

Example 2:
harold: "holy shit baby, i'm going to be murdered march 15th but its going to be ok because i'll hold up in protective custody that week."
*PROBLEM FUCKING SOLVED*

But no. Apparently the right thing to do is dance around like asshats pretending theres nothing you can do.

fucking word

i can't believe it's taken these extreme examples of sleepwalking fucktardery 7 episodes to figure out that "hey, since we've seen the future, we can change it, which means there can't be such a thing as the future, and what we saw was just a possible future" Image Image

that scene where fiennes jr is getting grilled by that congressbitch, and she never once pointed out the obvious circularity of his claim that he's investigate D Gibbons and the blue hand guys because he saw himself doing that in the future in his flashforward

also, dominic mongaghan as some superstud on the train. ffs all i see is a hobbit with a crew cut :olo:

The sad part is they killed off the only guy with acting talent (Action Jackson). Well, Harold isn't bad but his role is still written poorly.

Oh one of my favorite parts is when the Chinese guy shoots an FBI once, sees that she isn't dead, and then just puts his thumb up his ass until she fires back. Did you only bring one round? And then shes laying there on the ground bleeding to death for, what, a minute or two with a working cell phone laying on her chest?

Or when they take a lead to their boss that is fucking stellar and he's just like lordy lordy yall crackas are retarded. you cant go to somalia! Not after we just pardoned a nazi war criminal for the information, best let that be for absolutely nothing.

yeah, flashforward seemed neat to start out with. wasn't suprised when it turned to wank though.

V isn't terrible but unless it get much better i'll probably drop it in the next few episodes.

a show i DO like though is fringe. sure, it has its issues but at least its not plagued with the myriad of issues that flashforward and V appear to be having.

Those of you one the fence with V might be interested to know that this next episode on Tuesday is the last one of the entire year.

Fringe is amazing. My quick top five looks like this:
1) Dexter
2) Sons of Anarchy
3) Stargate Universe
4) Fringe
5) House (this is only so low because its not really an edge of your seat between eps show)

Noes! :(

Also, Stargate Universe... that needs to get better fast, i don't know what the fuck they're doing with that show, but i'm not pleased at all. Get rid of the link to earth you morons... it's killing the show. I don't want to see interhuman drama involving cheating, praying, lying and love, fuck right off. Where's the evil alien species bent on destruction already? It's like BSG without any actual good acting / story / nemesis / immersion.

That's one i'm giving one or two more episodes to get better before i give up...

3) Dollhouse (which seems to be in hiatus...)
4) FlashForward (stupid in many places but i'll keep going)

remembered i made a point to watch 'fringe' then totally forgot so i just ordered S01 from amazon to catch up before getting into S02 on the *ahem* tubes

New V is sorely lacking the maverick, loose cannon, hare-brained schemery of Donovan.

V isn't bad - the scenes between "julie" and her superiors at the FBI are quite well done. The preacher is the same dude from 4400 and I hated that show (wonder if they used the 4400 address of the resistance cell in V as a reference to this show).

Just seems that they've thrown in the major plot outline right in the pilot so there's little mystery to be revealed. But perhaps I'm wrong.

note that it's always lesbian, and they parked mr gaeta's gay snog in the BSG webisodes. these people know their demographic
